Dr. Joe S. Moore, DPh

Owner/Pharmacist

Joe received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Mercer University’s Southern School of Pharmacy in 1981. He is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Doctor of Pharmacy. He has been appointed as a Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists, Fellow of the American College of Apothecaries (FACA), and International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) Fellow of the Academy. From 1986 to 2010 he was the owner and operator of three community pharmacies, managing more than fifty employees. Since 2010, he has streamlined his business interests into Medical Center Compounding Pharmacy & Health Center.

Dr. Cynthia Smith, DPh

Clinical Pharmacist

Cynthia graduated from the University of South Carolina at Columbia in 1988. A full-time practicing pharmacist with over 25 years of experience, Cynthia is passionate about her profession and the opportunity it presents to have a positive impact on the lives of every person in the community. Cynthia's practice experience includes community and hospital pharmacy as well as several years spent as a long term care pharmacy consultant.

She began working at Medical Center Pharmacy in October 2006 and has since gained experience in compounding pharmacy with an emphasis in women's health and pain management. She also works extensively with hospice personnel to collaborate in the management of end-of-life care to provide expert pharmaceutical support necessary to render comfort from symptoms associated with many terminal conditions.

Cynthia is a preceptor for pharmacy students from University of Tennessee at Knoxville and South College.

Cynthia and her husband Fred reside in Cleveland, TN and have two beautiful daughters, one son-in-law, two adorable Labrador Retrievers, one cat and are soon to be the very proud grandparents of their first grandchild!!

Donny Ahlberg

Dr. Donny Ahlberg, Pharm.D.

Clinical Pharmacist

Donny received his degree from the University Of Tennessee College Of Pharmacy in 2002. He began working at Medical Center Compounding Pharmacy shortly after graduation in 2002. He has completed additional certification programs in Long Term Care, Professional Compounding, Immunization Certification and Diabetes Care. He currently resides in Cleveland, TN with his wife, audiologist Dr. Tiffany Ahlberg and their two young children, Braden and Kara.

Dr. Rhonda Hanley, Pharm.D., RN

Clinical Pharmacist/Registered Nurse

Rhonda received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University. She is dually licensed by the State Board of Tennessee as a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Registered Nurse. She received an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Nursing from Chattanooga State Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Rhonda has additional certifications for Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Immunizations. She enjoys making a difference in patients' lives whether within a medical facility or her own community. She has worked in various healthcare environments since 1993.

Amy Ownby, LPN, RPhT

Health Center Nurse and Registered Pharmacy Technician

Amy is a Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Pharmacy Technician. She received her Certificate of Graduation from Technology Center of Athens. She has 14 years of hospital, clinical and developmental nursing experience. She began working at MCCP in 2010 as the Health Center Nurse monitoring blood pressure and administering vaccines for travel and routine immunizations. Amy has since gained 5 years of experience with Diabetic Shoe and Mastectomy fittings. She takes time with each of her patients and enjoys assisting them with their individual healthcare needs. She also is responsible for point-of-care blood testing that includes (Coumadin/warfarin) INR, cholesterol and diabetes.

A prescription from a licensed practitioner is required for compounded medications.
